Nice to meet you.
I live in Japan and love KJs.
I do all my own inspections and repairs.
Since I've never personally experienced this, I'm posting this for the purpose of sharing information.
Please forgive any errors as I'm using translation software to translate from Japanese.
I generally purchase parts by mail from the United States.
Therefore, I replace parts early and keep the removed parts as spares.
About three months ago, I noticed an abnormality in the engine rotation, so I replaced them with spare parts.
・Crankshaft sensor
・Camshaft sensor
・MAP sensor
・Temperature sensor
・Direct ignition
・Plug
・Injector
Newly purchased parts replaced as soon as they arrived:
・Crankshaft sensor
・Camshaft sensor
・MAP sensor
・Temperature sensor
Error P0339 occurred when the spare part was in use.
I received a new camshaft sensor, so I replaced it, but the problem persisted.
Thinking that the new sensor might be faulty, I purchased and replaced three different ones, but to no avail.
The symptom was that the engine would start without any problem when it was cold.
Once it reached a certain temperature, it would suddenly become rough and stall.
When I tried to start it, it would sometimes fail, and sometimes it would start in limp mode, so I couldn't drive it with confidence.
After rereading the service manual, I noticed that it says that fuel adjustment is not performed in warm-up mode or limp mode.
I thought that maybe the problem started when it switched to normal mode and fuel adjustment began.
I imagined that the injectors might be clogged, and the instruction to lean the engine might not be producing enough gasoline to burn.
When I switched back to the original injectors, the engine no longer stalled.
If the engine starts easily when cold but stalls when it warms up, and then becomes difficult to start, I'm writing this to let you know that fuel adjustment may be the problem, and replacing the injectors may improve the situation.
It took me three months, but I'm finally able to drive it with confidence
