Brake squeal

Just did the front brakes on the KJ, Centric premium rotors and EBC Green Stuff 6000 series pads. Put about 30 miles on them, so far great stopping power and very smooth, but there is an intermittent squeal. It doesn't happen consistently and not at a certain speed. Any thoughts?

I've tried about 5 different brands of premium pads and a variety of premium rotors too. They all worked great but all squealed just before complete stop. If your squeal isn't when stopping then maybe not enough caliper grease on the slides or calipers are sticking a bit.

The EBCs (green) were great pads! Tried them too.

Oh, should have put that in there, it's only when applying the brakes. Thanks for the input!

Don't those EBCs have that thick break-in coating? Maybe it will stop squealing when they break in?

Yeah they do...I'll keep an ear on it. I have the same pads on my LR3 and I can't remember if it squealed much.

EBC pads have a warning right on the package,"may make noise for 500 miles".
