Gone through another heater fan motor resistor...is there a good aftermarket unit or heavy duty resistor I can get? Tired of replacing these...

I've heard the same. The one for the same year Sebring is apparently more robust. I put mine in a long time ago and never looked back. Got a cheap Chinese unit from RockAuto at the time.

Can anyone confirm whether the Sebring one changes the fan speeds compared to the original one?

Got what you suggested, so far so good. Doesn't seem much faster if any than the speeds when the other was working right

Replaced this today as position 1 wasn't working. Decided to go with the Autozone Duralast Sebring one for $21.99 (JA1464) as lifetime warranty and I had a $5.00 off $25.00 coupon (picked up some needed small things to get to $25.00).

I compared the before and after and couldn't really tell any difference in fan speeds for position 2 and 3. Based on what I think is the date code on what I pulled out, it looks like it was the original one that came with the Jeep.

Thanks all for the information you guys provide here!

Scott
