I have the AFE set-up with a AEM dry-flow filter.I also wrapped the tube with header wrap.Been happy with it for the 6 years I have had it on my KJ.

Ive had the K&N drop in for 3 years with no problems. Had a K&N in another Jeep for over 6yrs with no problems.
Amsoil has a good drop in filter too.

I have the K&N setup and love it. I like the fact that you can hear the air being sucked in. (neat to me). I also have a K&N round 6" tall filter on my old 1970 F100 - 302 and it does make a difference. the KJ has 12406 miles with no problems. The Ford truck has almost 70,000 miles with no problems.
