Hey guys! New to the forum! I have an 06 Libby with 125k. The track that the bearing carrier adjusters sits in on the differential housing is burred and bent pretty bad. My question is can I just replace the adjusters with shims in a chrysler 8.25. Or should i just pick up a used rear end at a salvage yard for $150? Thanks in advance!

I galled an adjuster once and cleared it up with some small diamond files.

As for threads in the housing.... if you had something like a carbide dental pick maybe you could clear it up, but other than that - get a different housing. Not aware of any way to statically shim the mopar's carrier bearings.
