Couldn't find the answer in the forums, but I AM a tad new at threads.

After I re-connect my battery after I do whatever electrical maintenance, after I accelerate I hear and feel a thud as soon as I let off the gas. The problem goes away after I drive a few miles. The mechanic I talked to suggested it might be a programming issue, but I'm skeptical. Does anyone have any experience with this??

TIA

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
Could be the PCM/TCM relearning how you drive since you wiped out the memory when you disconnected the battery.Using a memory saver(not the 9 volt type that plugs into the power port) will prevent relearning issues.
