So the factory backspacing is 5.5 from what I've read, I'm getting a OME lift so I'm gonna be putting 245/75/16 wheels n tires on it but my question is what looks better 16x7" with 4" backspacing or 16x8" with 5" backspacing, pics would be great thanks

+1 ^

I'd stay stock with the 16x7's unless you have a big ******* for some new/different wheels...

If you've got money to burn then do whatever floats your boat.

I have 16x7" soft 8s with 4" backspacing, and I get mild rubbing on the fog light doors with an OME lift and bigger tires. I really like the wider stance though. There are some pictures of my Jeep floating around on this site somewhere, I'm at work right now so I can't post any.

Okay thanks for the advice I'll go with the 16x7 cragars, and sevenhelmet what size tires are you using that gives you a bit of rubbing?

I had slight rubbing with 235 70R16s on a stock suspension, but I have slightly bigger tires now that she's lifted. I emphasize SLIGHT rubbing, nothing 5 minutes with a heat gun can't fix.

Ok I'm getting 245/70/16, it will be on a stock suspension most likely for maybe a month or do you think I will get alot of rubbing with that size

I am running with 3" backspacing with a set of 33x12.50s. This may seem excessive, but I wanted to maintain a reasonable CoG with 6" of lift. It handles great, but it kicks mud, dirt, and rocks all over the damn place.

I'm getting a set of steel flat wheel fenders fabricated. it's only a matter of time before I kick a rock straight up and into my windshield.

I'll post a pic of what it looks like straight on in a bit.

Don't waste money on either
Wheels or 245/70's if you plan to lift
Best fit/look for a lifted KJ
245/75 R16's on stock alum. wheels
gives a "stock" look until you park next to a stock
KJ ,then you notice
The $250+ saved is nearly 1/2 the cost of a Detroit locker
which will give you more ability than the lift and tires combined
