Finally at dealer requesting on odo calibration. Guy looked at me like I was from Neptune when I mentioned the revs/mile of the tires. Pinion factor came out of his mouth and I said ok whatever it's a common tire size so yada yada yada.

Sittin in the loung waiting. Also asked for a ****** reset and I think his head was turning either blue or red. Not sure. We'll see how it goes.

well, they got it done without any issues. I'm lucky I never got a speeding ticket!

Anyway, I got the transmission quick learn done too. It shifted a little hard with a jolt about 2 times. I think it is shifting sooner now which is good. The odometer is much more accurate now. I'm gonna get it on the highway so I can see how accurate it is compared to GPS. Also I reset the ave miles per gallon on the EVIC and am happy to announce my 18 MPG number has returned! I don't think my mileage was that bad after all. We'll see this spring when the temps warm up. No use worrying about it now with the winter gas and temps.

Oh, cost me 26 bones. NOT bad! I would've done it right away if I had known that. :happy107:

Oh yea forgot to mention they came to me and said my rear wiper wasn't clearing the glass, as in wiping it clear. They said they'd replace the arm assembly for $90. I said yea, no thanks!

I cleared the rear glass with a few streaks just fine on the way back. :smokin:

My odo was off by 4km/h (was slower than indicating) with my stock tires and now that I've upgraded to 245/75 it's pretty much dead on.
Kinda odd it was off that much

Same here - with 235/75's I am now only like 3 mph slow at 50ish. It was far under before.

Hey Rockymountain...

Please tell me the name of your dealer so I can ctc them. My dealer was unable to get the computer to accept the 684 revs per mi for my new 245/75s. They told me my '05 computer would not accept anything less than 720 revs per mile (which is the rev/mi of the OEM 235/70s). They told me that the '06 computer input is tire size rather than revs per mi and will accept a 245/75 tire size ??? The diference between the 720 and 684 revs/mi is 5% so it's easy to do the math, but I'd rather have it indicating correctly.

Took mine to O'Daniel Jeep here in Fort Wayne. Their desk guys think they know everything, but in the end the techs usually do what is possible. I sorta just ignore the desk people. Not being able to go less than 720 revs is pretty crappy. That is a small tire. I wish a tech on here that has the 08 would chime in.
