Anybody else have spongy brake pedal at stop?

Try your pedal and let me know. My 2006 with V6, 6 speed, and ABS has a spongy brake pedal at stop in nuetral. I can repeatedly push it at least half way down. No warning lights come on and the brakes hold fine. Otherwise the pedal is normally firm and the brakes work great. Would just like to know if this is typical here. the Jeep has 500 miles on it.

Engine running.

It's okay with engine off - the first jab goes down a bit, then release and press down again and the pedal is solid.
