It looks like there are typically two clips on the passenger side that holds the liquid line.

My clips are MIA and I've ordered replacements.
However, my liquid line doesn't even reach the sides. The line seems to sit right below the hood strut and every time the hood is closed, it would push that line down.

What's going on w/ these liquid line parts? looks like it isn't long enough.
is there a way to get it out of the way of the hood strut? I'm not too sure how move it out of the way w/ most of the liquid line being solid.

any thoughts?

Thanks.

The green arrows point to were the clips should be.
Notice how the liquid line is right below the hood strut.
With the hood closed, the strut will push the line down, stressing the line.

On my 04 the line sits under the fender lip, it looks like it needs to move a couple of inches towards the fender.

What happened to the hold down clips? Someone should be fired! :icon_lol:
Would a rubber isolator of some sort work to protect, until u get the clips in?

Has to go against the fender on the other side of that box. You can sorta see it here

The clips were long gone before I was in the Jeep's life.

was it pretty tough to attach it to the clips by the fender?

Looking at my liquid line, I think it's just too short. there doesn't seem like a way for me to get it to the fender.

yeah, they just push into the clip.
I tried pushing it towards the fender but it takes quite a lot of force and it still doesn't reach it.

Is this liquid line for the wrong year of liberty?

Looks like my liquid line, which would make it wrong for your year.

Somebody's been wrenching on that line. Looks like yours is bent upwards/outwards compared to Leeann's & my pic.
I wonder if you can heat it up and bend it back down and in a bit?

looks like 02-05 use the same liquid line.

Tim: the up-down flexibility isn't an issue. It's the horizontal flexibility that is an issue. I can't move the line to the passenger side far enough to even reach the fender.

I'll have to pay the parts store a visit. I'm scratching my head here.

so I've come to realized that the liquid line was bent by the side it connects to the condensor.
look at the circled area

and compare it to Leeann's or Tim's image which have better spacing.

How would I bend it towards the passenger side safely?

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
I have found that all aftermarket AC lines in general are not very close to the same specs(length and all that) when compared to OE lines.

I have run into your very same issue on KJ's and kept rejecting the lines until they got me OEM parts like I stated in the 1st place.
