Then SFA it to justify the cost.

You will need alot of parts,if used(why ever buy used?) it may run $2000-$3000 if your lucky and do most of the work yourself. For the trans you will either have to tear apart and replace the output shaft(auto) or get a 4wd trans, for the manual trans you will need to replace the mainshaft or again buy a 4wd manual trans. You need a t-case,t-case adapter, linkage, and shifter. Then you need F/R driveshafts and the front diff and mounts. There are the front CV's also. Then if you are lucky to have the t-case selector swithc wiring already you will need to take it to the dealership to have the PCM/TCM/BCM reprogrammed to tell it that it is a 4wd now and not only 2wd(lots of safety issues with airbags and ABS are effected by what mode you are in).

well mag03kj first of all you need to think do you really need 4wd? I have gone off roading with my 2wd kj many times and I have never gotten stuck. You only really need 4wd if your plan to go through a lot of mud or up steep hills.
