2wd manual to 4x4 conversion

I've seen a couple different conversion threads but none really mention this specific swap.

I have a 2002 3.7 auto 4x4 and found a really clean 2003 3.7 manual 2wd for cheap. How feasible would it be to swap the 4x4 parts to the 2wd and keep the manual.

My main concern is if the T-case would work on the manual 2wd transmission. What are the differences in 2wd and 4x4 transmissions?

Edit: The 2002 4x4 is a complete beater.

What gearbox is in the manual? The euro diesels are available in manual 4x4, the 2.8 has the 6 speed Mercedes box, the 2.5 the NV3550. I think they both have the command track setup to handle the torque.
