i just put on 265/70/16 tires on stock rims on my 2005 liberty with NO lift. i bent the pinch welds over (ended up grinding them clean since they broke). they do rub A LITTLE on FULL flex and wheels turned. they are also great off road. they are an all terrain so not super aggresive (goodyear wranglers). but they DO FIT to answer your question.

I am going to go 1 further and say pics or it did not happen
I know how tight it was with 255/70's on a lifted KJ or 245/75's on the same
it would have been worse ,more cutting, to fit 265/70's

Yeah I'm going to have to raise the BS flag on that one.

When my KJ was totally stock(no lift) I shoe horned 245/75 MT/R's that were half worn and they barely fit on the OEM rims and not rub as was virtually useless offroad. My KJ was also a pre-lowered KJ so it sat 3/4" higher, and that was with 3 miles on the ODO when I put those worn MT/R's on also.

Oh and better weld up that seam for the pinchweld, those are 2 of the strongest points of the uni-frame that you now severely weakened.

Was looking online this morning during class and came across this:

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f59/jeep-liberty-oversize-tires-939755/

He does say that he scrubs bad but man 33x12.50s on a 2in lift. And look at the bs with those spacers. 2.5in. He's braver than me but I kinda like the way it looks.

That being said (or seen), could I run a 15x8 with 3.75 or 4 in bs with like a 31x10.5 or 32 in tire? Lifted of course.

Thanks

Matt

Did anybody not notice that in the first post, he said he was at the tire shop?

The tires were probably new and never driven, hence the lack of rub marks :)

Huh? I was walking into a store (Academy Sports and Outdoors) and the post where the kj on 33's was at a school somewhere. The kj I saw was mid way out in the parking lot. And the kj with 33's has a little stuff slung on the rear fender.

you're either in Hamilton, OH or Toledo, OH, or you saw a Liberty that'd had a solid axle hung under the front end

Yes.

You're welcome

Ian

Ian, thanks that sounds like what I want to do.

TBJ I wish I was in OH but I'm stuck in Auburn, AL for school. I know that the kj I saw was still ifs, and according to the post the other kj had a 2" bds lift

2" of lift and 33s is a definite no-go unless you do some structural work.

245/75s are the biggest "sure thing" you can go to and have 0 issues.

Thats what I thought as well. Like he said it scrubs bad but to me there's still no way he would be able to turn at all.

Im not lifted and unfortunately won't be for a while, but I am trying to find some good ideas. I dont know all the ins and outs about lifting and I suppose thats why I post these questions.

Maybe he knows something I dont

Thanks

Yeah I got him talked into dropping down to 31" tires,he wanted all sorts of crazy custom made suspension parts that he could not afford and finally saw the light, well I hope so.

no bs flag needed at all...they do fit. and the pinch welds were welded up the next day at work;).
