how much lift do you have total? that is the look i am going for, and i have been tyring to figure out what tire size i want.
255/70/16 and 245/75/16 are the same height essentially, but the 255 is of course a bit wider, but i dont want to rob too much HWY mileage so i was thinking the 245s

255-70s run smaller than 245-75 which are almost the same height as the 265-70s
Noticeable difference between them
I have ran ( way back when on mine) 255-70, 265-70, and 245-75s

^^^^^ That

I'm sitting at 22.75 in the front and 22.5 in the back (the rear flares come down a bit more in the back - the KJ sits level when measuring the pinch weld front and back.)

I'm now at 50,000+ on my Firestones so I'll be putting on a set of 265/70-16 Duratracs in the next month or so. I don't have enough tread left to venture into the snow belt areas I travel in through the winter so time for new shoes. Local shop is treating me well on price for the Duratracs - plus that's one of the few tires I like in that size. Reverend Mudd gave me the idea to go to the 265's since they're the same diameter as 245's but sit better on the 8-inch wide Moabs. 265's are 30.6 while the 245's are 30.7 in diameter. The recommended rim width for the 265's is 8".

Didn't want to get into fender liner trimming, etc., plus with the additional height I'm sensitive to the loss of power since I tow a boat a lot during the summer (and the occasional hard-sided camper too.)

I really like the look of the 265/70's - for now I'm good to go. But when I upgrade to JBA coilovers I'll be more inclined to go to the 75's. :party52:

Actually 265-70-16s and 4.10s is almost the perfect match. Bob will do better overall when driving and towing etc with that combo than say I can with the 265-75-16s
