so would 245/75s be that much of a difference with power and gas mileage??

I run 265/75s and put in ten bucks a day only driving maybe 20 miles a day..

with no job.. the tank is starving me

No, I'm sure he is getting closer to 6 mpg. Gas in Florida is probably 3 bucks a gallon so:

10 bucks a day = 3.3 gallons
20/3.3 = 6.06 mpg :D

I think the difference you would see would be negligible. Now going to 215/70/16, you may see a difference:)

I've had 245-70, 255-70,265-70 and now the 265-75 never noticed much difference until I went to the last ones, they take more power and gas for sure!

So tom. Based on my circumstances and wishes to save money and gas... ok and power. I should go to what 245/75 next tire? or one of similar diameter?

The answer to your question is go 235/85-16 and buy a 1994 Toyota Paseo outtahere.gif

weird cause i was pretty sure 235/85 is 1/10 inch bigger and a decent amount skinnier.. dont think ill ever go that route. im thinking about going this wheel tire combo in the future..

but should I get them in that brushed aluminum or w.e or black since I have a silver kj.

Get proper wheel width, those are too wide for the tire. do like the finish on those.

Skinnier tire = better MPG and better traction. I roll the 235/85R16 and I've never had issue on or off road. Once I re-geared, I get 21 MPG. An option only for the true enthusiast.
