I finally saw one in person on the street yesterday.. Not my cup of tea at all. But someone told me the dealership has one now. I'm thinking about going to test drive it, strictly for educational purposes.

I finally have seen a couple of them in the flesh on the road. They look better in the flesh than in pics. I will have to make a trip to the dealer and get a closer look.

Hoping for an update on Monday (3 weeks in) that takes my order from Scheduled for Production to "doin' it to it!"

Have two folks wanting to get a shot at my 03 Lib and I have not even advertised it yet.

Most all the tech options are switchable if you don't want them on and if the it can't see the lane markers the lane thingy can't work.

Amazing to me how many folks ordered or bought of the lot and never bothered to read up up n what options were available or what they did.

And the new owners that can't even spell owners manual or users guide let alone read them.

Both are available on line for download and yes I have read both of them,
The Cherokee forum I am lurking on has the same problems as here in that folks won't take any time to search before posting. Yes I have read every dingbat posting and learned a lot from some of the older members that have read the manual and have a lot of information to offer.

The wait goes on.. more to follow as it develops.

At least you hit D1!!!!

After D1, it goes really fast, like less than a day until it's built, and after that you just wait for it to show up!

I sat in one! It is better looking in person than in photos. I think I like the KK body still. But I a fan of boxy trucks, not cars. I'm old, but old people seem to like it. One thing I didn't like is the back bumper, no shelf. But it's most likely better for off road.

2014 Cherokee Trail Hawk

Git a text message from sales dude, telling me he checked and said its supposed to be shipping out of Detroit on 1/21.

Interesting in that it is still in "production scheduled" status in VOTS.

Ordered 4 weeks ago on Monday last.

It'll get here when it gets here!

Shipping out of Detroit? What is it doing up here?

Vehicle shipping never ceases to amaze me with how they do it.

VOTS updates every Monday-Friday at 8:30ish AM eastern time.

It is also slow and inaccurate.

IF I would ever get one I'd get a trail hawk Mango Tango :).
But Marlon remember that blue I liked. I'd like it in that.

Ok hate me if you want, but I test drove a Cherokee today. I do not like it at all. Maybe another story if I could get it with a manual, but I doubt it.

I asked them to send it your way for final inspection:party36:

I agree on VOTS. Was supposed to be there for at about 2 weeks per the e-mail and then move to production. Nothing heard since. Updates have come about 0400 AK when they came.

You get used to waiting up here cause its a long ways from everyplace!

Nope - NO hate here. To each their own! It works for me and that is really all that matters for me since I be paying the bill.

I understand a 4 cyl diesel and 6 speed manual are planed for Europe distribution.

Strange in that the Liberty was introduced in Europe (as Cherokee) before it came here.

If you look at the Cherokee and the Grand side by side, there are a lot of similarities.
I would be willing to wager that you will see the demise of the Patriot and Compass in the near future since the 4 Cherokee models pretty much cover much of any thing you might want. The Wranglers cover the ******** off roaders and the Grand covers the big boy toys.

Just one persons opinion, yours may well vary!

Just saying!

Got to look over the TrailHawk that they used at SEMA today at the Detroit Auto Show.
Telling you, with the 245-70-17s on there it was looking real good
Thats the first upgrade I'd make if I had one on the way

I don't care for the color, but the rest looks surprisingly good. :)

Thats the one above, didn't like the color until I actually saw it in person. I'd rock it for sure ( without the stupid looking roof rack) Its looks way beefier and better in person than in the photos, is taller as well than what one gets from the pictures. With the 245-70-17s it had it looked good.
No pictures, too many people just walking in front of you all the time.
Pictures of girls??? Whatever are you talking about? :hidesbehindsofa:

I'm liking it more than I thought I would. That mango tango I like, just saying it. What I never realized because I have always considered my KK a Small vehicle is its bigger than a Grand Cherokee, at least mine is!
