I have a 2007 liberty with an intermittent starting problem.
it usually occurs after its been driven a few miles, but its
been known not to start even backing in and out the driveway.
It cranks fine, but it just wont turn over. Its like its not getting
any gas.
Ive replaced the starter, the fuel pump/filter assembly, cam
shaft position sensor, crank shaft position sensor, and fuel pump
relay switch. Took it back to the dealer no less than 4 times with
this last time they finally said it was the starter. Thats when I had it
replaced (after they fried it trying to get it started). Before then
the dealer said they couldnt duplicate the problem, which they didnt on
the last trip either.
Ive also taken it to a three other local shops multiple times, with one shop
specializing in nothing but Jeeps. Nothing found. Couldnt duplicate the
problem.
Before I replaced the fuel pump, I kept blowing the no.4 coil but this stopped
when it was replaced. The only code showing now is C2102, system voltage low.
Steering column control module. The battery is two years old and tests good.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Its just turned over 100k
and it runs like a new car, when you can get it restarted. Looks great in and out.
Im desperate.
