2002 KJ transmission upgrade

Hi everybody,

My name is Alex. I'm new to this forum. I have 2.5L diesel engine KJ(2002)
I'm thinking of upgrading the 5 speed manual transmission to 6 speed. The reason: to save fuel and better run in highway conditions. The 5 speed gearbox gives me a high rpm when running above 70 mph. Does anyone know if a 6 speed manual transmission would work on the 2002 KJ?
