2009 2.8L vmotori CRD wrangler, crankshaft position sensor. Where is it located please pics if yous have any
The Crank Position Sensor (CPS) is located on the back RHS of the engine block - just ahead of the flywheel/torque converter. Quite a lot of things have to be removed before you can get to this sensor. The sensor can be bought from Jeep or Bosch. Beware of using the cheaper Chinese knock-offs that look identical but don't last as long as the Bosch product. They can also give weird electrical problems to the motor - stick to genuine Bosh parts!!!!
Parts numbers are - Jeep 050 668 82AA or Bosch 0281 002 343. Generally I found the Bosch sensors about a third of the price of the Jeep (Bosch) listed sensors.
