started the jeep today, it idled a little rough, no throttle response only a slow crawl and the check engine light along with that lightning bold symbol ( dont know what it means) and traction control light came on.

Shut off the jeep, checked to make sure no hoses or harnesses were unplugged and everything was good. Turned it on again and check engine still on some throttle response but very high Rpm before switching gears. Then after a few minutes decide to run normal(minus check engine light) unitl i got home

Any ideas? have to pull codes once im able

Think the lightning bolt is the ETC (electronic throttle control) warning. 07s are electronic throttle control. My 02 is a throttle cable. That would explain the crappy acceleration too. I'd check the battery connections first. These thing do wacky things if there is a bad connection or corrosion on the terminals. Could be the TPS is toast. Let us know what the codes are.

Edit: Now that I think of it, drive by wire probably doesn't have a TPS.

Oh yeah they do, the 07's are notorious for the TB's going bad from moisture getting into them. I've replaced mine out of caution after having issues of it dying on me in traffic.

Have the DTC codes read, and post them back.

As mentioned the battery terminals should be clean & tight, the battery has to be good as well, so load test it.
The codes may very well point to a TPS, but as Birdman stated any moisture is bad, really the entire TB should be inspected, cleaned.

Is the TPS integral to the TB? Don't see a separate part#

Edit: Ah ha. I see it is integral (RockAuto). Looks like an interesting design. Expensive replacement though.

Yeah, no clue why Chrysler did that, so if the TPS goes you have to get a whole new TB for replacement.

thanks everybody. Had the TB off a few months ago, everything seemed clean and in order. Thinking TPS may be the culprit. Fiddled with some sensor connections this morning and it started and ran fine with no warning lights. Framing a friends way out of level ceiling and the new 10 inches of snow  got in the way of me retrieving my code reader. Will update tonignt or tomorrow when i do get the codes

tried to pull codes but non there  happened again this morning until it ran for a bit , noticed my gas gauge go crazy when i stepped on the gas. Thinking it may just be a combo of a crappy battery and very cold weather. Testing it this afternoon

pulled a p0562 code ( voltage drop )
tested alt and battery , both good. possible pcm issue but doubt it.
conclusion...for now...the extreme cold weather

I'm going to suggest changing it out now out of caution, this might be an early warning sign it could be about to go. Since changing mine, I haven't had issues.
