06 Liberty Sport Special Edition EVIC ???'s

I have a 2006 Liberty Sport Special Edition and I would like to add the EVIC overhead console to my Jeep. I have read over all the posts about these several times and I am still confused about 1 thing. Will an EVIC or OTIS from a 2004 Jeep Liberty work with my 2006? Will an EVIC from a 2004+ Grand Cherokee work? I know a lot of people have done this but I want to make sure I buy the right one before I begin this project. ANY HELP would greatly be appreciated! Any advise or tips are good too!

For all the functions to work, you need one from an 04+ KJ. The 04 GC ones only work on pre 04 KJs. Mankes life a lot more diffcult as the ones we need are a lot more rare.
