Welcome to the forums.
ATF+4 in power steering.
Some have done their steering rack replacement on stands at home.
I don't know how their back was afterwards though.
The questions is do you have all the tools and are you prepared to possibly spill some beer & foul language? :icon_lol:

Thanks! And yea thank God I believe I'm gonna be able to use a lift hoping it won't have to be done on stands. And I plan on drinking plenty of beer after it.

What Tim said ^^^

I've replaced the steering rack and the biggest tip I can give you is to remove the steel lines from the rack to slide it in from the passenger side wheel well. I tried to install it keeping the lines on the unit but it just wouldn't twist so I could get it bolted to the cradle.

Once you slide the rack into position install the steel lines, bolt it in and then install the hoses. Took me a couple of hours but if I'd removed the steel lines first I could've had it done in an hour or so.

Careful you don't catch the boots on sharp edges - would be pretty easy to slice a hole in an outer boot if you're not careful :emotions34:
