02-03 liberty 3.7 lockup mechanical help

Hello,

New here, but not to jeeps

I've got an 02 that I crashed into a tree, and bought another (02 or 03) for parts. The engine on the parts vehicle is locked up. Guy I bought it from was buying to part out, driving it home it stopped, engine won't turn with a large breaker bar.

I've read a lot about valve seats causing problems on these engines.

What could cause the 3.7 to lock up like this?

Would refurb heads make a fix (I'd like to make a plow vehicle out of it).

Sorry to hear that and welcome to the forum!! I've got a set of reconditioned heads with updated intake and exhaust valve seats complete with camshafts if interested for a great price?
