The next step is now done. We added OME coils with Rancho Struts and shocks. I know, the stock tires need to go but there is just too much tread left to dump them.

Thanks and the mount is the RAM model RAP-B-166U. I got it through: http://www.gomobilenow.com/ I got my antenna mounted, almost. I'm using a 3 foot Firestick but it won't clear my carport so, I'll only put it on for road trips and off-road adventures. I just need to run a ground wire...

    An Airizona Air Filter...

Don't blame Arizona! I live in Arizona, too, but my filters have never looked like that. I think I'd have to chalk that up to driving in the "brown cloud" that surrounds the Phoenix Metro area. Another vote for the Amsoil filter, here.

Added the CB today. Got an email that my antenna was shipped so I should get that on later this week.

What does everybody pay for their fuel

If the prices go up much more I'll have to update my gauge.

    2006 Lift Kit

According to All JP's website, the 2006 does require the brake line relocation kit for the Frankenlift. I got an email from Heather the other day and the Frankenlift will also fit the 2007 models. They just haven't updated that part of the website yet. I can't say whether or not Rusty's...

Thanks to ideas from a couple of folks over on L.O.S.T., I finally got my storage boxes done. and ........ a shot of the extended receiver hitch with a tad bit of snow added........... It's a Jeep thing!

    Lift?...Now Approved!

Getting even less rain than you do, I doubted if Mud Terrains were the right choice for the area, as well. Yesterday I went along on a club run with my neighbor in his Rubicon. Almost all of the rigs were running mud tires. This club has been running the deserts around here for 25 years...

    Lift?...Now Approved!

Just start putting different photos of lifted Libbys with larger tires as the background on your computer screen. =P~ Or........ better yet........... take her along to a KJ get together and let her see the difference. No matter what they might tell us, sometimes, size DOES matter.

Well, I didn't think that the first addition would be as simple as adding a new receiver tongue. I had one that I'd been using for years and found out that I couldn't hitch up my boat trailer. The hitch ball ended up under the spare tire. After four shops I finally found a longer receiver...

What is the average age of a Liberty driver?

If I could get all the KJ owners around here to sign up the 61+ numbers would go WAYYYY up. Most of my neighbors are winter visitors and KJ's are VERY popular, as are Cherokees and Grand Cherokees. From my back door I can see three KJ's, mine in light Kahki, two doors down in white and one on...

Factory tow hooks or reciever hitch?

Another advantage to going with a receiver hitch at both ends is that you can use a portable winch and hook it up where you happen to need it.

Any 4-Ply Sidewalls for an unlifted KJ?

Hmmmm??? I suppose 3-Ply is better than 2. I was really hoping to use my stock rims and not have to switch to a 16 inch wheel so I emailed BFG to ask if they had any plans to release a T/A KO 245/65/R17 or even a 235/65/R17 for use on unlifted Liberties. Here is their reply: Thank...

Our first off-road foray - Indian Pass

Actually, it's California. We live in Arizona but this area is just across the state line in California, west of Yuma, AZ. The "Pavement Ends" sign is where Ogilby Road (S-34) meets Interstate 8 about 15 miles from Yuma. I miss New Mexico too. We were stationed there from 1990 to 1997...

Our first off-road foray - Indian Pass

The wife and I headed out for the first off-roading in our new KJ. It would have been a better trip with a group but we still had a good time and the KJ did great! You wouldn't think the signs are really needed. Got sand...

Any 4-Ply Sidewalls for an unlifted KJ?

While the wife and I were at Sears doing a bit of Xmas shopping I wandered over to the tire section to check out their offerings. I looked at the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor since they come in a size that will fit the stock 17 inch wheels on my unlifted KJ, 245/65R17. I was surprized to see...

    Taller tires and Towing

I agree in that agressive tires just tend to dig instead of float. My Jeep has the stock 235/65R17's now. They will probably do just fine for floatation, but a little extra ground clearance would be nice. I'm thinking that 255 or 265/70's with a little lift to provide tire clearance would...

    Hi Mr. FJ

We considered one briefly........... very briefly. A neighbor has one. He says visibility sucks and he didn't find out it took premium fuel until after he bought it. Good idea. Competative pricing (except I read that they are hard to find so many dealers are gouging for well over MSRP)...
