    2WD Renegade for $17k

Four reasons I bought a 2wd KJ (instead of a car or 4WD): 1) Towing ability - to haul the Waverunners 2) REAR wheel drive - I''m not a fan of the FWD vehicles which drive, steer and stop a car - too much going on there for me. 3) 4 Doors & Cargo room - to haul family/friends & the...

    What's your favorite Liberty color?

I voted for Hunter Green - it's close enough to the Shale Green for me. Guess I'm biased as well.

    Clutch/Dealership Issues

38,000 miles on a clutch, and it's gone already?!?!?!?! Holy crap! I got 117,000 miles on my Toyota 4x4 in heavy city driving before having to replace it, and I *learned* how to drive a stick shift with that same clutch too. Sheesh...makes me re-think the manual tranny when I look for my new...

    BALL JOINT FAILURE INFO...PLEASE READ

Make sure the "w" is in uppercase when you type it in. Mine came back as invalid as well, and that was the issue.

    Balljoint recall notice yet?

According to DC, notices will be sent out from oldest to newest, by production date. Also, as stated, the parts are on backorder, and each dealership will only have about enough parts for about 5-10% of the vehicles.

    EVIC resets

Have your battery checked. I had this problem with my '02 just a few weeks a go. It was sluggish to start in the mornings, and the EVIC would reset my MPG average (very annoying). I looked under the hood, and the negative terminal was all corroded on the factory battery. I replaced the...

LBJ Replaced - WOW what a difference!

My vibration was mainly above 45 mph, which is why I thought it was the tires. I did feel "feedback" from the brakes once my KJ was at a complete stop, almost like the suspension was still moving forward.

    Seatbelt Latch

I have the same problem with my 2002 Limited. I took it in to be fixed under the Extended Maximum Care Warranty, and was told it was not covered as it was a "trim piece". Since when did Seat Belts and Safety Buckles become "trim pieces"? I was insistent on having it repaired, even willing to...

LBJ Replaced - WOW what a difference!

I had my LBJ recall service performed today. The front end had felt "sloppy" and vibrated over the past 6 months, but I passed it off as worn out new tires and bad alignment. I had the tires replaced last month, and the front aligned, but the nose still felt loose. Then I heard of the LBJ...
