Heater connector on fuel filter assembly spewing fuel!

True, it would have helped the situation if I hadn't mentioned that fact. However, DCX can't refuse warranty coverage because a non-dealer performed the service work. Relevant sections of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act: It appears that in order for DCX to legally deny coverage, they have...

I used it all last summer. I worked good for me. Just like advertised.

What Windshield wipers do you use?

I've found that Triple Edge blades work very well. They perform well and last a long time. As a matter of fact, I have yet to need to replace them on any of my vehicles. I've had them on my pickup for a few years now and they are still performing very good. I just replaced the stock blades on my...

    Just Ordered a CRD Limited!

Well so far I would have to say my experience with it has been pretty good. I like the vehicle more and more each day. It's like breaking in a new pair of shoes; sooner or later they just start to fit. I've experienced a few of the anomalies/issues that have been spoken about here. For...

    Just Ordered a CRD Limited!

Re: Have you got it yet? Wow, that's been a while now. I ordered mine on April 20th and it arrived about 3 weeks ago or so.

Husky Liners - Picking the best match for color...

Hmmm.... At first glance I thought you had the tan ones. They don't look gray in your pictures. The match in color isn't as close as I was expecting. I base that on this picture: From that picture it looks like the gray might be close. Maybe it's just your picture. Perhaps the color match...

Husky Liners - Picking the best match for color...

I heard the Highland liners in gray may match the carpet in the Dark Khaki/Light Graystone interior. Has anybody seen the Highland liners in gray, or have pictures of them in their vehicle? I'm thinking at the moment about just getting the Jeep slush mats for the summer and perhaps the liners...

Husky Liners - Picking the best match for color...

I'm thinking it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a set of Husky Liners for the Liberty. I've got a Limited CRD with Light Khaki exterior and Dark Khaki/Light Graystone interior. You get 3 choice in the liners - Black, Gray, and Tan. What color would go best with my interior colors?

The Front Seats are Killing Me...!

Well I picked up my CRD Limited on Saturday. So far I like most everything about the vehicle. However, the seats are still an issue with me. I was hoping that they wouldn't be. I thought that once I got the vehicle I would be able to adjust the seats until I found a setting that would work...

    14mpg!

I suggested the chalk test as a visual way to make sure, or reaffirm, that your tire pressure was "in the ballpark" of where it was supposed to be. When I say ballpark I mean that you are not way off enough in either extreme that tire would start to become distorted enough to produce the result...

    14mpg!

Re: Tire Pressure "Under-inflated tires on your vehicle lead to poor or delayed braking, steering and acceleration. Under-inflated tires may squeal when stopping or cornering even at moderate speeds, particularly on warm pavement." Be Tire Smart...

    14mpg!

Well, I'm not trying to attack anybody. I'm just providing a public service/safety announcement - so to speak. A couple of pounds per square inch - plus or minus - can make a big difference, especially depending on vehicle and tire combinations. That's why they recommend that you get an...

    14mpg!

I strongly advise against compensating for poor fuel mileage by increasing tire pressure beyond specifications. There is a correct tire pressure specification for every vehicle/tire combination. This "correct tire pressure" ensures that the tire has the correct profile for the weight...

Got pictures of Leather Dark Khaki/Light Graystone interior?

Ya, I would say the seats may have looked better it they were the same shade as the lower door panels, but that would have precluded the 3-tone interior. Still the loss of the 3-tone interior may have been a fair trade because those seats are kind of bright. They remind me of white interiors...

    Did something Dumb Need Help.

I would suggest going to a car wash with a good vacuum. They are usually the wet/dry type. If you find a vacuum in good shape it should pull a lot of the water out of the carpet for you.

Got pictures of Leather Dark Khaki/Light Graystone interior?

Thanks for the post... I had a feeling that it looked like that. I was hoping that the seats weren't so light in color, but I kind of knew that they were. I was thinking a little darker shade or grey or tan would have been good. Don't get me wrong - I wanted a lighter interior because darker...

Help, I'm being drawn to the Dark Side...

I had a voicemail waiting for me when I got in to work this morning. It was from a local Ford dealership. I was informed that they had a sale this weekend on F-150's. The sale was $12,000 off the MSRP. That would basically put a fully loaded F-150 Lariat 4x4 Crew Cab into the same price range as...
