So my alternator is going bad so I bought a replacement thinking I could easily swap it out. Unfortunately I have the tow package with the heavy duty cooling system on my 06 and it blocks the tensioner you need to actuate to replace the alternator. I've looked all over this forum and everywhere...
Yeah they were used to haul kayaks on a truck but now I'm looking to repurpose them as crossbars. They seem pretty well made and they're already painted which is nice. But I don't even think it's worth doing if they're not low profile
So I am looking to do something maybe a bit unconventional. I have some of these square Inno crossbars:

I want to use them to mount a yakima load warrior permanently but have it low profile like the OP. I can cut...
I never even know I needed this. Amazon reviews and $25 price speak for themselves. Pretty excited to not have to lift it up with my hand every time I open up back there
I'm trying to remove the moulding on the side with the "Liberty" imprinted on it so I can paint it black. Anybody every take these off and put them back on? I'd really love to be able to do that instead of masking off the whole side of the Jeep
I too love the look of these but I've read elsewhere on the site that they are not good for permanent use. Anybody running them constantly without issue?
Thanks Tom, I saw that brush guard on another thread and was initially put off by the price but I'm loving the look of it. As far as mounting lights to it would you pretty much have to make your own mounting points for it? I guess the only place to do it would be right in front of the grille
Anybody know of anything similar to this style push bar that works with a 2006? I'm seeing a few of the more grill guard styles but I really don't care for the headlight guards.
Good points, I guess in my head I thought if I just used soft things and tightened them up enough to the ceiling it would just sit right against it and not obscure the view much if at all. Just depends on the placement of the hooks and how good your net is I guess

Anybody ever do something like this for a KJ? I really want a net like that over the cargo area in the back for light stuff like tarps, blankets...
Sport Series Rack, 02-06 Liberty, 52"L
These look really nice, so you don't need crossbars or anything to mount them up? Also does anything you get with the box say how much weight it can handle?
I love the look and if I don't need crossbars thats awesome but $667.95 is the most expensive...
I added a fire extinguisher behind the driver's seat. I would've liked it a little better in the cargo area but I've got a GSD who chills back there at times
Thanks for the good info. I don't plan on doing any serious off roading like many on the site but I do like the look that bigger tires offer. I may end up just getting the biggest stock size and see if that'll be enough for me.
Biggest tires with stock and mud flaps
So I just bought some cheap rubber mud flaps on eBay. I know it's blasphemy but I live on a loose gravel road and I'm sick of gravel dust covering my rear window. I'm wondering if having these on will restrict how much tire I can have. I'd like to get as...
