Rear end knock after Ironman lift

I have an '07 with the standard length IronMan shocks and have had no "knocking" or noise issues whatsoever (have 6,000+ miles on them now). I'm somewhat surprised to hear that several people suddenly experienced this issue.

    Gas Mileage?

Ironman suspension (1.5" lift) and General Grabber tires (stock size 16s): 16-17 mpg in the city and anywhere from 19-21 highway (depends on 55 vs 70).

    LED Headlights

Tommudd is 100% correct that KJ headlamp housing > 7" diameter. The mounting points for Wrangler headlamps are different from KJ headlamps. Simplest way I see is to make some custom mounting brackets from aluminum sheet metal that fit the KJ mounting points; then mount the Wrangler lights to...

    I'm confused

Indeed there are not many options for wheels in 16x7 with factory spacing.... I've even talked to a couple of the manufacturers who will make custom wheels (Rotiform, etc.) and most of them don't have 16 inch custom options (usually starting at 18", some at 17"). And then you are already talking...

    LED interior lighting issue

I have been using these: Amazon $12 (free shipping with Prime) No flicker and no issues with them remaining dim when turned off.:party52: You want to make sure that they are CANBUS compatible; a lot of the German cars require these too. The cheaper ones usually aren't compatible and will...

    2007 Jeep Liberty

That is awesome! Transmission Monitor looks very nice. I agree that transmission temp would be a very useful dataset to have displayed. More data the better. Haha. Hopefully you can get that working for our cars, and Palmer decides to build a package for Chrysler down the road.

No, the standard app doesn't include the trans temp. Palmer Performance has stated that the Chrysler/Jeep transmission parameters are not reported in the generic code, so cannot be read by the app. It looks like they would have to add this in a brand specific package, but have not done so yet...

I've purchased a wifi OBDII unit and Dash Command over the holidays... and it's pretty awesome. :party52: Getting it working on the Appradio screen is a bit of a pain though and requires the connection of the hdmi, lightning to hdmi converter, and running Pioneers awful app management system...

    How to: Retrofit Projector Headlights

Thanks! Yeah, there was a very noticeable difference on the first night I went for a drive with them.

    How to: Retrofit Projector Headlights

I don't have an issue here with legality... but if I ever move to another state I realize that it may be an issue. Going back to the stock headlamps is as easy as unbolting these, disconnecting 3 wires, and bolting the old ones back in. I didn't cut or splice any of the original wiring to do...

    How to: Retrofit Projector Headlights

Better light distribution and improved visibility mainly. The halogens weren't putting out enough light, and I didn't want to stick HIDs into the reflector lenses and blind everybody; so I did the retrofit. The projector does a better job of distributing the light and with the cutoff shields...

    Rear dome light LED

I bought the ones I linked below from Amazon and have been using them in both front and the rear dome lights for several months now. They do not stay dimly lit or flicker when off and are bright as hell when on (maybe even too bright up front to be honest). 2 for $12...

    Speaker sizes

For the KJ I think the door speakers are 6.75 inch units in all 4 doors. Not sure about the KK, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were the same size. Best would be to look up your 2011 on Crutchfield and see what they have in their research database: Crutchfield: Car Stereo, Speakers, Home...

    How to: Retrofit Projector Headlights

    16) Assembly 3.0 Re-attach the parts you pulled off the headlamps before you baked them (rubber ring, adjustment mechanism plastic, etc.). Once these are sealed and pieced together you are done with the headlamps. 17) Wiring..... :emotions34::favorites68: This was my least favorite part of...

    How to: Retrofit Projector Headlights

So, I've been meaning to write this up for quite some time now... better late than never I suppose. Unfortunately, I didn't really take many pictures as I went along doing it. So I'll use stock photos to fill in as best I as can to help explain things. Let me start by saying that there are...

:party52: Glad to hear you got the camera and its working like you wanted. I thought of wiring it up that way, but I don't think I'd ever use the camera unless I'm reversing. I actually still have to get used to actually having the camera for that in the first place. Lol. But who knows...

    Ironman Lift Kit Questions

I just did the Ironman HD kit (springs+shocks) a week ago.. I'm loving it so far. My suspension had sagged quite a bit (was sitting over an inch too low) before I did it, and the new setup has really improved the ride. I feel like the Jeep is much more stable, even though it sits higher, and...
