Just replaced the passenger side valve cover gasket on my 2004 Limited. I have driven it twice for around 20 miles total since the repair. Still stinks like the Exxon Valdez (that's what my wife calls my little Heep). Anybody care to comment on how long it took yours to quit stinking? Thanks!!!

I am just going to go ahead and get the gaskets ordered and plan on doing it soon. It can't be as hard as changing out the power steering hoses, can it??? Looks like just a bunch of crap to take off and get out of the way. I didn't think the power steering hoses were all that bad once I got done.

I just finished replacing the hoses on my Liberty. Why would you reuse the old clamp and not the new one? Just curious.

I am going to check the valve cover tonight when I get home. I am dumbfounded as to how that could be the leak when replacing the power steering pump and lines made it go away for two weeks. Know what I mean?
