    Taller scissor jack

I am using a leftover from a 10x10cm wooden beam (length is about 20cm) and have put it under the jack when I have used it to change a wheel. The piece fits perfectly over the shaft tunnel below the rear seats. Also works as a safety "stopping block" in front of a tyre when stopped on a steep...

question regarding detroit true track in the d30A

On a 2007 3.7V6 KJ, I have Eaton DTTs in both axle differentials for the last 4 years and have done around 50k kilometers on them. They definitely improve traction and are not intrusive, they have actually been great so far. The steering return-to-center becomes faster, but then I also have...

    JBA extended swaybar end links

I do. Ripped one of the standard ones in a pothole on the road maybe an year ago, so I took my chance and upgraded. Happy with the decision so far. Ordered two sets by mistake, JBA clarified, shipped one set only and refunded, so great service as well.

    wheels and tires for kj

Kzoli, do you mind sharing the Dotz rim part / product / model identifier? I've been looking for rims similar to what you have found but didn't find anything. I have the 2" BDS lift, 1.5" Eibach wheel spacers and 245/70/16 tyres, but the wheels stick out a tad more than I would like to, the...

    Jeep liberty whine noise

I got a similar whine before the clutch of the old AC compressor exploded. But YMMV, I have just had one case of "turbo whine" so far.

    Backspacing for new rims

The first rim (16x7 ET30) has 5.25" backspacing. The second rim (16x8 ET0) has 4.5" backspacing. The first one is pointless as the stock rims have 5.5" backspacing, so between the first and the second, the second is better. I run 2" lift with stock rims and 1.5" (38mm) Eibach spacers, bringing...

    Lift Glass Compatibility

I had once replaced my 07's with glass from a 02 donor. The latch is a different design between 02 and 07 (one part is removable on the 02 and a monolithic piece on the 07), but the glass and latch matched perfectly. There was some play involved with the hinges on the top - if possible, get the...

Alignment issues with JBA arms (NOT without???)

FWIW, after installing my JBA arms, I also had issues with alignment. I got the alignment slots widened just a tad, which helped a bit. What helped definitely and resolved the problem, though, was finding the proper person to do the alignment. So, in such a case, I would recommend to look for a...

    My looking for wheels thread

Do you by chance know how much exactly is the backspacing (or ET) of the XJ and ZJ 16x7 rims? I find contradicting info on the Internet, from ET 12 to ET 40. Or maybe depends on exact model, domestic/export market, etc? Thanks.

    TPMS can't recognize new sensor

Kal-El, thanks a lot for this link!!. I did some more digging (well, googling) to find out what the legislation says. I couldn't find proper official documents, but I found a couple of references leading me to believe that in Europe it's obligatory to use 433MHz, while in the USA both 315MHz...

    TPMS can't recognize new sensor

Hi, I would be grateful if you give more details about the source where you found that '04 and '09 would use 433MHz sensors. I always thought the used frequency is compliant with government regulations. Thanks!

Replacement rear shocks for 2" BDS-lifted 2007 KJ

For the record, I purchased a pair of Bilsteins and got them installed today. The mechanic at the shop needed to "manufacture" an install kit (much like the one sold by JBA, but since I purchased from EU there was no kit available). All good now and no more butt dancing. Thanks everyone.

    TPMS can't recognize new sensor

In the USA, the used frequency is 315MHz, in Europe it's 433MHz. If your vehicle was manufactured for the USA, you need the 315MHz sensor. As for learning, you have to drive some time with the new sensor installed (15 minutes). If it doesn't learn it, try swapping the places of the tyre with the...

Thank you. I've not ordered yet - I'll get the jeep inspected tomorrow to see whether there's something else requiring attention / replacement.
