update on my problem............. printed this thread out and took it in to show my Tech. Turns out he forgot to tell me that a previous owner had spilled some kind of sugary drink on the ctr console (cola or coffee) and that he had cleaned it up and lubed the cable and associated linkage...
My '07 is painted that color (or close to it). It's called: "Inferno Red Crystal Pearl" and is listed on my build sheet as PRH and also QRHS. Hope that helps...........eddielee
2007 Jeep Liberty Limited, 3.7L, 4x4. I cannot turn the ignition key to LOCK unless I smack the shift lever hard with the heel of my hand (forward) after putting it in park. My Jeep Technician says that the cable linkage is adjusted to specification.
Anyone have a suggestion that might...
OSUFANS: Always start with the simplest things first - check your tires. Don't be so quick to go to the complex solutions. Radial tires have a bad habit of slipping belts - that can cause the noise and vibration you are encountering.
Raised my spare tire 2 inches and leaned the top of the tire out about an inch (so the rear wilndow would close). Used junk and paint from my shop - turned the 4 spacers on my lathe. Took about an hour to cut, drill and weld the parts and overnight (in my wife's greenhouse) for the paint to...
LibertyFever - I'm towing a BIG box trailer I built on a cut down flat bed trailer chassis I built many years ago to haul my tractor on (when I was hauling hay). It has brakes - so why not use them. I sincerely thank all of you that responded to my inquiry - It's a big help. I have no problem...
I'm on my first Jeep vehicle. Have anyone out there installed a brake controller on their '07 KJ? Where did you hook up the brake-light wire from the brake controller (Location of the hookup site and wire color)?
Thanks for the Info - any idea what (ballpark figure) a dealer would charge for the 30K service? These days, I can't lean over the fenders like I used to.
I don't know if this question has ever been asked - I just bought this KJ (my first Jeep), '07 Limited. It turned 30K the day I purchased it and the sellling GM dealer supposedly serviced it. They didn't change the spark plugs as called for in the maintanence schedule -- how important is it...
I bought one of those units once - ended up throwing it away - way too slow, took over 5 minutes to pump up my kids football! Don't waste your money! jnaut has the right idea!
'99 ChebbyZuki (Chevy Tracker I named J. Thaddius Tow'd). It was the vehicle pushing my motorhome. Jeep is one of the few with auto tranny that can still be towed! I've had it just two weeks and am still getting used to the useless crap this unit came saddled with (it's an '07 Limited)...
For routine maintenance, electrical diagrams, OBDII codes etc, which repair manuals would you recommend - Chilton - Clymer - Haynes? Or, spring for the expensive factory shop manuals?
I just bought my first Jeep brand vehicle - a '07 Jeep Liberty. I joined this group for information. My first problem: I want to tow a small trailer with brakes on it. Does this model of Jeep have factory installed wiring for the brake controller? If so, how do I get information/instructions...
