my kj is an 02 but it was made in 01, its an all black limited but it wasn't pre-lowered and has a dana 35. i feel like mine is a little more uncommon as well
I drove a stick for all but about five years of my nearly 40-year driving life. I read not long ago that manual transmission in new cars are below 10% now.
The automatic transmission in my Liberty was about the only thing that held me back when I bought it, but hey, I was young and in love and it didn't seem to really matter all that much. No regrets. :driver:

My Libby was given to me and I wasn't going to take it because I wanted a Wrangler(Stupid). But then when he told me it was stick I jumped on it cause I only want a Standard vehicle. Now that I have it I only want the Libby

I see usually a 50/50 mix on Wranglers for Manual/Automatic Transmissions. Though I have noticed the clutch pedal is tighter on my Libby than a Wrangler.

It was one of those May-December things. I bought it last May, and will be lucky to make it to next December. (Me, not the Jeep.)

Call me insane, but those are some powerful words. I have always felt a vehicle takes on an owners personality. My Focus and G8 were like that, a never quit attitude my Libby has the same attitude as well. This winter was dead proof of that.

Yes the libby does take on its own personality and I feel that the libby has more emotion and a great personality. But my first vehicle was a civic, and well the libby is amazing compared to the stupid piece of junk civic I was barrowing.

I agree with you there. However, I did absolutely love my 91 Camry. But when my parents totaled it I acquired my Liberator. A worthy sacrifice.

It should but not always.My father wrecked my '84 F150 when I was in boot camp.I told him if he wanted to use it then he would have to insure it,but he didn't and got into a wreck(not his fault) but they gave me a ticket for no insurance and did not find out till 7 years later when I went back into the military.The recruiter found I had a open arrest warrant but the DA dropped it right away.Isn't that supposed to happen the other way around? Uh, dad...

The wreck wasn't there fault, The actually were the front car of a 3 car pile up. A Jeep Cherokee, Slammed into a Toyota FJ Cruiser, he FJ as sent forward 3 car lengths into my Camry that my mom was driving(Insert woman driver joke here) out with my dad. All on the highway. Estimated speed of the Jeep meeting the Toyota was about 90-100 MPH and all 3 cars were totaled. Here is some pics.

I know you weren't. The crumple zones worked, but with no air bags and them having slowed for construction, they were pretty beat up.

That's something I really hate, how we've gone from the seat belt which is perfectly fine to too much emphasis on the air bag. A seat belt ALONE is what saved me when I rolled my car at 75mph and I walked away with just a couple TINY glass cuts on my fingers, now they put too much on the airbag. Watching crash testing through the years, you now watch the test dummy get flung into the air bag rather than immediately be locked in the seat. Its pathetic!!!! chairshot.gif

The were wearing seatbelts, kind of. The car had automatic seat belts but with a manual lap belt that I'm willing to bet money they weren't wearing. I never wore the lap belt either. That, and my parents are very fragile.
