Headlight Bulbs Poll

Ok. So I have a 03 KJ and I want to change out my DIM bulbs. I cannot find any good advice online that doesnt sound like a sales pitch so I am going to put it to a poll! What does everyone use? Please comment with specifics. This is for on road DOT approved bulbs.

FWIW I just use silverstar bulbs in mine...plug and play.

I used silver star ultras in mine for a couple years until i got tired of changing burned out bulbs and switched back to regular halogen.

Could be hazy housing lenses.

But voted for the Hella's,had mine installed going on 9 years now,same set.

I just cleaned the housings with 3M machine polish. Much more clear but still dim. The bulbs I think are old and need a upgrade. My fogs are brighter haha

Yeah those headlight restore kits are a joke,6 months from now they will be the same or worse as before.I just bought new housings and those old bulbs looked like new.

Sylvania Silverstar, Not the most expensive and work just fine.

What I ran. And new housings are the trick.

Thanks for all the replies! I don't think I am going to change my housings but I will either go with the Silverstars or the Hellas.

Ran some premium sylvanian 4 yrs ago, running ge night hawk plat for over 2 after i blew those low beam. both were fine. Ge seemed better. both were pricey.

Everytime i go to usa i keep looking for these magical 9 dollar phillips vision plus lights. no luck.

Silverstar Ultras. Don't bother with the Silver star Zxe's. They are a blue bulb with less light ouput while costing more.

Here's a tip, if you order Silverstar ultras online at advanceautoparts.com with a coupon code(google it) you can get them for $30.

I went with Phillips X-treme power or whatever haha. I will post some pictures after I get them! (If I remember)

Ok I didn't forget about pictures!

First is Phillips extreme vision alone. Second is with Fogs on. BTW that's without high beam and facing down hill.

Stupid question maybe but what about bulbs for the MOPAR renegade fog lights and roof lights?

Phillips Xtreme Power here as well. Love em, however my headlights need adjustment and I need to get a set for the fogs.

Update a few years later! Drivers side bulb on the low beam broke the coil. Almost 3 years out of these bulbs with them on 70% of my driving. Not bad? or just a fluke? Not sure but I think I will put another set of Phillips in. Used the xtreme power before now I will try the xtreme vision.
