I'm cleaning out the last of the parts left over from my motor and transmission swap. I want this stuff gone so I'm open to offers. I can also meet someone in Buffalo or Niagara Falls if necessary. I'll add more as I dig it out, but I have:
- Renegade running boards - with mounting hardware...
I've been told it's a good idea to use an oil filter with an anti-drainback valve in it - the cheap ones don't have one. The ticking is caused by the lifters not pumping up right away on a cold start. You can try using an engine flush additive at your next oil change. And use the proper oil...
Haven't had much time to work on the Jeep lately. Finished the transmission swap. I had an issue with the rear U-joint because I found out I had a Dana 35 in the rear of my Jeep and needed a hybrid u-joint to make it work with the newer driveshaft. Took it for a spin around the block and it...
You sound like me. Hardly ever get off-road. BUT that is because I didn't have a vehicle that was capable of it. Once you do a lift or skids you'll probably be tempted to do more off roading. I'd say do the lift first because if you're like me, your suspension is all worn out and it will be...
Ya, I knew it was going to cause some issues, but I'm not sure of what effect it will have on driveability.
The way I have it set up right now, when I push in the clutch it grounds the TRS wire that lets the PCM think it's in park so it will only think it's in "P" when I push the clutch in...
Had to work today, so I didn't get much work done on the swap. I'm still working on welding up the crossmember - should be stronger than stock when I'm done.
Also got it to start without the auto trans in it. Grounded pin 3 (blk/white wire) on the transmission connector. This allows the...
Well, I only see one issue with still leaving the auto trans ECU in there in that I have to set the transmission range selector to P or N in order to get it to start, but I suspect the ECU will put a rev limiter on me in those settings while I'm driving. I should be able to rewire the starting...
So no 02 manual crossmembers up in my area. So I'm cutting up the 02 auto and the 05 manual. Welding the ends of the 02 to the center section of the 05. Should have that finished up tomorrow.
Also, picked up an 02 shift boot today. Got home and realized it is exactally the same as the 02...
So I ran into a couple of snags today. The 05 console plate didn't have a clearance in it for the airbag module. Not much of a problem. Cut a notch out of it with a cutoff wheel. Can't find the picture at the moment.
The bigger snag was when I went to put in the 05 manual transmission...
