"The guy" must not be very observant. This is going to happen with any vehicle which frequently makes short trips and doesn't get warmed up enough to cook the condensation out of the oil. It's not something exclusive to Chryslers, Dodges and Jeeps.
You might want to look into one of those short, black "Euro-style" antennas. They work just as well and are far less prone to getting bent in car-washes.
I guess I must be one of the lucky ones. I'm on my third Jeep from the same dealer (Dave Burt Chrysler Jeep Dodge, in Columbus, Indiana) and have never had anything but excellent service.
Yeah, I guess I hadn't even considered the roads and driving conditions. Over here in "the colonies" we're used to getting out on the open road, setting the cruise control at about 75 or 80 mph, and letting her romp. That would definitely make a difference.
Man - what kind of tires are they selling in Wales, anyway? If I didn't get at least 40,000 miles out of a set, I'd be highly P-O'd. I've had many sets go well over that. I've got nearly 20,000 on my current tires and they are barely showing any wear, at all. Are you keeping your inflation up...
If she has a 2005, it would have SelecTrac, wouldn't it? Driving it in 4/Full Time would be fine. (Of course, her problem is probably her tires, though.)
