Hi everyone! I know this has been discussed at length, but I'm about to order some Moab wheels from the 2003-2006 era and I want to be certain about tire size and ensuring fit and look.
I have '04 limited lib (46k original miles). I put the OME lift 1.5", JBAs, Power Stop brakes and rotors in 2021 and now going to add wheels and tires. Maybe the boulder bars skids in Sept!! Right now, it has stock wheels and these drone noise tires (lol) 235/65/17.

Anyhow, everyone has said the 265/70/16 tires look good on the Moab wheels.
From my pics, does it look like I have enough space to fit the larger tires?

Math says your existing tires are a hair over 29 inches in diameter and 265/60/16 would be a bit 30.5. That's a difference in diameter off 1.5 inches in diameter, or 3/4 inch radius. That's 3/4 inch closer to your wheel wells. So ya, shouldn't be a problem with a little pinch weld hammering.

MEASURE TO BE SURE
Middle of the wheel to bottom of the flare
Also what springs did you get ?
If 927s yes for sure with pinch weld pounded over
If 925/926s then we'll wait for measurements
Height is only part of the issue , youre wider wheel/tire combo is small wheelwells is the other
also not all 265 70 16s are the same width and height
If you look at say Coopers and Generals for example Generals are 30.6, whereas Coopers are generally in the 30.1 to 30.3 tall and not as wide as the Generals

Ordered through a shop in Sacramento, they ordered from quadratec the medium lift. I believe they are the 926 and 948...

Thoughts?

Yes sounds like 926s possibly and I'll bet 947s in the rear
Thats the problem trusting some of these shops who know nothing about KJs
Well you could run 255-70-16s on the Moabs but then they are only 1/2 inch smaller in height

Wow, love the pics of yalls rigs. Gives me a picture in mind. I think I might go with 255/70/16 after I get the wheels. I'll send pics once complete. Thanks for helping me guys.

Question, I found a set of 5 moab wheels for about 1k, would yall lean toward those vs buying some from America's tire or tire rack?

Yeah, AZ...they look good and that includes shipping inflation maybe? Lol
No, I just missed a set of 5 for 275, they were removed when the Wrangler had 50 miles on it back in 2004
shipping is not that much

Be patient and vigilant. Took about a year and a half, but finally got a set for $300, low miles, spare had never been on the ground. Sold tires for $200 if memory serves. Let some other chump buy those for $1000.
