Have had one guy bring his in due to strange noises
all 4 shocks were blown ( only had 78,000 on it )
front springs stacked and worn out 235-70-16s rubbing
well there ya go , week later sat over 4 inches higher with new tires etc
KJs are so common out here the wife and I shout "parts!" Every time we see one. Most are in pretty good shape for the rust belt... Almost all have the sag though.
Found a renegade today. They're asking 2700 ish. Wifey wants to go look at it as our daughter is in need of better wheels. I blame all of you for this.;) never gonna get time to wrench on the VW it seems, though I rebuilt both Webbers and got the Chevy journals in today

Should live in Toledo
When I lived there Police , Fire, Water departments all owned Jeep Libertys
Plus people who built them, you could stand anywhere in town with your eyes closed and throw a rock anytime of the day or night and hit one

My wife used to refer to the Liberty as "The Other Woman". I'd have one for each of my kids if she'd let me.

With friends and family discount to plant workers, I bet they were quite affordable.

Well the front driver window keeps falling down, so I'm going to need to get a new window regulator. The window is currently being held up with some shipping tape.
I recommend a wooden wedge (like a door stop shape) jammed between the inside of the window and the door. A neater appearance and works just as well.

That’s pretty much how Omaha is now, sans a Jeep factory. Going to look at an 03 dudes parting out. He doesn’t know if it’s a 4 or a 6. Fingers crossed…

@Mark R
You sure you need the whole hundred dollar regulator? Jeep installed really weak plastic clip assembly between the regulator and the glass. You can get that assembly in steel for under 20$ and fix it yourself. It is a super common issue and easy to fix for cheap.

Cheap and easy fix. If you can hear the motor, you don’t need a whole regulator. Just tear it down first so you know which part to buy as there are two different ones- early and late KJs

Welp- the 03 was a bust…is a 3.7…
Just learned I have 31 hole saws and not a single one is close to 80mm. So I’m considering a bit of Herculiner on the hood to give Bert the SM that look.
80mm hole saw delivered tomorrow thanks to Amazon. Couldn’t find one in town.

@Mark R Ditto on this. I bought all 4 brackets off Amazon. I have replaced driver rear and passenger front. Other two were covered by extended warranty many moons ago. Repair was less than an hour on each door. Well worth the $80 for the 4 brackets.

Little road trip in the 03
One guy that used to be on the LOST forums called to say he found an 03 4 cylinder for sale near him
He calls me every time he thinks he found some good parts
I treat him to lunch, and a finders fee if I find some parts/whole KJs
So took off to go get it , drive 180 miles , air up tires on it, pull it up out of old 4 foot weeds etc
3 inches of snow on the ground, pop the hood , no motor , crawl underneath in the snow , check tabs on diffs
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,3.73s
#%^@&****
Pretty good body but not what I wanted at all , still sitting in the driveway, ( still may go get it just to strip it someday)
BUT, owner swore it was a 4 cylinder
SO, back to the search
So what’s up with LOST? It seems to be a zombie.
