If you have your build sheet :How can you tell if the transmission is a 3 plug or 4 plug?
Google-fu came thru. It took me a bit. Some deal about variable pressure sensor. Thanks DadOsix, I knew somebody would find it. I've been super busy and just haven't had time to dig. Hopefully he comes back for the answer
Do this first:Ok cap’n. I’ve been under it a few hundred times. What am I looking for? Is there 3 plugs stuck in it I don’t see while laying under it or is that to obvious? It’s a 2005 kj sport. Not sure what “build sheet” refers to. Sorry guys. Not a full time mechanic.
No worries! But . Tell us why you have to change your ******.Thank you VERY much. I appreciate your help.
Was doing about 70 on the interstate when something popped and I lost power to the wheels. Was able to coast off the interstate and into a gas station. Originally took it to an off road shop because I thought it was the transfer case. But after them pulling it and opening it up they said it was fine and that it was my transmission. No worries! But . Tell us why you have to change your ******.
Dang! Hope the swap goes well.
that is one thing I have never tried to rebuild. An A/t.
I've done one. They're complicated but the fundamentals haven't changed much since the Model-T. What used to be done with pedals is now controlled by vacuum, hydraulics, and (gah!) computers.Dang! Hope the swap goes well.
