Bandaid repairs ,
you do not change front end specs by raising or lowering the suspension ( well you can but it is not the real way)
There is a "REAL PROBLEM " somewhere
How many 1000s of KJs have had their alignments done at 2, 2.25, 2.5. 3 and up inches with no issues at all,
Go around and talk to suspension and alignment shops and see who actually knows their stuff.
Throwing parts and changing heights is not the " real " solution
Been trying to stay out of this, but dang

True, but as in my situation, the front left has been in 3 accidents and the front right in 1. All before I bought it. The shop(s) didn't fix it correctly, therefore my alignment won't go into spec. And it's the left that won't go. I've just dealt with it. Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

I was trying to keep all this in the other thread ''Alignment help''.
I have some current alignment specs from yesterday posted there.
I not looking to change anything else... except the alignment.

I would agree, but I didn't own it when they happened. I can't afford to put it on a frame machine and I highly doubt my insurance will have anything to do with getting it correct or be willing to total it.

Because Tom does not agree with nor recommend your chosen course of action for repair in addressing your alignment issues.

You have underlying frame damage and putting new parts on it to compensate is not technically a correct repair of the actual issue... even if it may do what you need it to do.

My opinion, I'd be doing what you are as well. Provided the wheels and suspension parts can get into alignment spec, and it drives normally, I'd be OK compensating for twisted out out of position frame components. But that's just me. It technically ain't right... which is Tom's unsaid point.

Thing about Tom's comments, it's backed by MANY decades of experience (sorry Tom, don't mean to imply age here, just wisdom!), and he is not wrong. You are free to do as you please, of course, as is anyone. But Tom has exhausted himself trying to guide others down certain paths for a long time, and it becomes irritating and frustrating for him to see discussions where he has the urge to interject some knowledge on "the right way", but knows that the vehicle owner probably wants none of it and won't take the advice anyhow.

That's why he's sorry.. I know I'm putting words in his mouth, but at about (guessing) 2/3 his age, I've been there myself. On both ends. I've been the "how do I do X, but don't tell me to just do Y, not interested in that...." and I've also been the "Dude... that's stupid and not the right way to do it and you're just going to cause more problems later on" guy as well.

Who know's which one is the C O R R E C T thread to answer to? You continually post in both and it has to do with lifts so I posted in the one I would of it if was my issues, in the right section.
Second, you've not really listened to anything most have posted , instead plowing more money into something that you do not even know what the real issue is.
Of course you can do what you want, but if it was me, or one brought to me to repair, I would start at square one and have everything checked over closely .

A good example is a buddy of mine, had been to 9 different alignment shops over the years, none could get his aligned correctly.
So one day several years ago right after the first time he showed up at my place , up on jackstands it went and I started measuring everything.
Subframe was back just a bit on the right side, asked if he had ever hit anything, or if it was ever wrecked .
First winter he owned it ( bought it new) he was shoved off the road and hit a curb.
I loosened everything, got it back where it should of been, down to the alignment shop I always used , they aligned and it was like driving a different vehicle.
No more pulling which it had done for 3 years and all of those alignment shops. BUT NONE of those alignment shops ever really tried to help him, just got it as close as they could and sent it.

I started doing suspension, brakes, alignments in 1973 , full time starting in 1974 and did that for many years
then went to my " evening/ weekend job" just helping people.

So, when someone keeps on and on about an issue, keeps buying more parts, jumping from here to there, heck yes it's like why should I try anymore

All I did was buy some JBA arms and try to get an alignment done.
I have looked all over and can not find any type of structual damage.

I was just trying to keep the alignment issues in the other thread that is all. I noticed I was getting to the point where I was posting the same issues in two threads.

I wish I knew what you think I haven't listened to. Other than the fact I am using old Rustys lift springs with new shocks. Is that what all this is about? I had good luck with them and still am. These springs lost maybe a half inch since 2010. Some OME springs lose that in a few months.

I have not been "plowing more money'' into anything, I fixed what needed fixed. I did buy the JBA arms, which look great and they did help with my issues but not totally resolve them. But you are correct I don't know what the real issue is. I am trying to figure that out and I have been posting about it. Isn't that what the point of this forum is. I'm not going to be the guy who takes my kj to 9 different shops and keep getting the same results like your buddy. Talk about plowing money into something.

If I keep on about an issue it's because it's still an issue. Also I don't keep buying more parts.

I would like to know how you think I am jumping from here to there. I am just trying to post as much info about my issues as I can.
Why should you try? Because I really would like some help.
I am not on this forum to try to disturb comfortable people.
This is the only forum I am on, no facebook, twitter no nothing because I hate all the internet drama crap. So I am not trying to start drama but I feel like that is what is happening.

Yes they are in fact a great upgrade, but it is not the root of your problems.
You actually need to take it somewhere that actually knows what they are doing, explain the situation and have them go from there
Most alignment shops any more are just that, they know how to align a stock vehicle and that is all, anything different and they are stuck.
Need a real shop, that also does alignments, not a tire store, alignment shop but a good old fashioned shop

As far as OME springs sagging 1/2 inch in a few months, LOL they settle in from say being 2 3/4 to 2.5 which is what a 927 gives you.
Trust me replaced a ton of them and never seen any like that

I took your advice and I have been trying to find a good shop. Problem is half the shops talk like they know it all and I don't know if they do or not. The other half just say you will have to bring it in and we will take a look at it.

The next place you take it, I would tell them you don't intend to pay unless they can either get you in spec or give you a clear and very detailed understanding of why they can't. Tell them you're not going to pay for a "Well, we tried..."

(And I wouldn't bring up any previous wrecks, etc. If they know their stuff they'll figure it out for themselves and be able to explain it to you. If they don't, why provide them with a ready-made excuse?)

If you're close to Indy, I'd try a 4WP store. They specialize in lifts and all that stuff, they seem to be a good operation. At least they'd have more experience with lifted Jeeps and trucks.

Otherwise, as I've said a few times, my dealer actually does a good job, although my KJ has never been too bad to align (had one shop claim they couldn't align it due to the lift).

4WPs over there must be better than the one in Columbus, all they are good for is to sell new cheap bumpers etc

I am going to try the tire shop one more time. Been there three times and they have only charged me $30 so far and that was on the first visit. They said to drive it a few weeks, bring it back and maybe things would ''settle in''. No charge even if they do get it. At least I won't be out anything other than my time. Some of the people i've talked to recommened them anyway.
This shop aligned our 02 in 2010 when I put on the first lift, then again after I put on new UCA's and LBJ's and when I put the OME lift on it a couple months ago. All three times no problems.
