I love it. The color, the look and those tires
Last night: put new front brakes on and replaced the sway bar bushings. Feels like a new Jeep! No more pops or clunks over bumps...hasn't felt this nice since I can remember. No more MOOG bushings, that's for sure!

I bought a 2004 liberty with what I thought was a blown head gasket for $300, and when I tore the head off it looks like the piston was partially melted along with the head on both sides cylinder 1 and cylinder 2.

Put in the new viscous clutch fan drive. Problem solved. I also go myself pretty dang stuck yesterday. I was helping my sister move and had the trailer hooked up full of her stuff. We had to offload the trailer at the back door of their walkout basement, which was at the bottom of a small slope. Like Icarus flying too close to the sun, I drove too close to the ice covered hill. Yes, I am indeed an idiot or just a noob in the snow. Big shout out to AAA for the recovery.

There is a rule of the universe that every move has to have at least one disaster. Glad it worked out OK.

Had a oil leak on the drivers side exhaust manifold, so I brought her in to replace the valve cover gasket, b/c I worried about a fire when the weather warmed up and the oiled flowed more freely. Also had the diff oils changed(don't know previous maintenance history). Felt a lot less "sluggish" when I left the driveway this morning. Usually takes her 1-2 miles before she loosens up.

I've never counted the hours I work on the Jeep to keep it going, but it's gotta be 40-60hr+ a year. Worth it, even if it is ridiculous!
Maybe 40 hours a year times 46 years .............Fun times
not to the jeep specifically, but for the jeep (so I can work on it and the other vehicles that need tending to)...
been tearing out all the fixed shelving and crap bookcases I've installed over the years in a hodge podge manner, and replacing it with all mobile racking. goal is to be able to wheel everything out of my bay and into the wife's, so I have open space to do the big work I need to get to doing, then wheel it all back when it's time for her to return home. In 18 years I've been responsible for her car being outside overnight exactly 6 days.

getting there.
need to take the right rack apart and trim it (notice, it's taller than the others.)
going to play Tetris with my stuff soon; thinking maybe making one rack all my ramps/stands/chocks/etc.
thinking I can slide the catch pans under a rack.
contemplating side-loading the bigger jack and hi-lift as the former sticks out pretty far from the wall, and the latter is tippy.
could technically get a 4th rack in place according to the tape measure, but I need to deal with where to stuff the welder/cart first.
crazy thought: make one rack "tools", unpack the welder from the cheap ass harbor freight cart it's on now, load it and all the related bits on to a shelf on one of these racks. but where would I put the shield gas bottle?
overall, I'm getting there.

I never realized just how much labor rates add up when you’re not able to do work yourself
I got caught up in a moment where my normal monthly repairs had to stop due to weather and having no garage space to work.
Both jeeps had to have work performed by a 3rd party and even with favors the bill was crazy high.
I need to start charging a 1/3 of what they do

Heavy stuff on the bottom. really heavy stuff on the floor.
If you reach for something three times and it isn't there; that's where it belongs.
If you trip over it... it doesn't belong there.
Fun puzzle. Someday my shop will settle down.

Finally, after years of trying and coming so close I was able to find a full set of 5 MOAB´s!:head3::Rock on: Sorry I haven't been on here in a while. Life threw me a loss of a loved one but time and family/friends have helped get me through it.
Sorry for your loss. They say time heals all wounds but family and friends can sure hasten the process.
Glad you got those Moabs too.
