Vacuumed it out. I still had splinters in the back from all the loads of firewood I hauled home last winter.

Posted her on some sites to see what offers I can get. I have a strong feeling that she's going to start costing more to fix than what it'd take for me to have a newer car/truck, so I want to avoid that before it happens and I'm having to part it out for scrap money.
Started to leak oil out of the blue and coolant is low constantly.. I don't even want to dive into that mess. Not to mention, the suspension is loose even after I've spent too much to try and fix it.
Drove it to Tenn. last week and was nervous the entire way that we'd break down and I don't want to have that constant fear anymore. Can't even let my woman drive it because it goes all over the road and I have to watch for overheating or something to go wrong the whole time!
Hoping to get cost of the lift, tire/wheel combo, plus some since it still runs and has some add-ons. Tired of owning a vehicle that's almost 15 yrs old and having nothing but issues, but I know, it all comes with age.. especially being a DD.
Could be a small fix and maybe the suspension could be like new with UCAs but someone else can deal with it.
Not in a huge rush, but we'll see how this goes!

bought some rocker switches and a panel for my roof light bar and rear floods, now just debating where to install...until now I've had the smaller switches in the skinny panel to the left of the steering wheel, but not sure the new 2 switch panel would fit there...maybe below it or under the air conditioning switches? (see picture below for possible locations)...or tell me where you've installed your rocker switches in the KJ :)

I’ve got all three of my toggle switches in the small area you have labeled “current”
Worked great for what I needed!

Post a price, still needing a few more if there isn't any rust.
And theres nothing that can't be replaced/ repaired/ upgraded for a reasonable amount.
People are still rebuilding Model Ts LOL and know of a guy that drives his to work daily 20 miles one direction

Removed all the mounts on the 9", cleaned it up a bit, and then a coat of paint to keep it from rusting until I weld the new mounts on.

and my Ruff Stuff truss and link mount is in. I will need to move the vent/brake line junction box back or to the drivers side a bit otherwise will clear everything. Just need to be cautious with the placement and the gas tank.

Picked up a jk bumper with swing out for 100 bucks. Once this heat breaks next week ill be doing some cutting and welding. Test fit today, have to do some trimming of both the back of the jeep and the bumper before i weld up the brackets and get it tucked in there all nice. Swings to the right which will make it perfect for mountjng a fold down table for camping with the tailgate swinging left it will be like a kitchen for me! Stay tuned i’ll throw up pics and a brief how i did it, but its gonna be a while. As with all mods, ymmv im going to try and include as much info as possible to answer questions before they are asked! Grab ya popcorn!

Replaced both universal joints on the rear driveshaft. They weren’t yet toast but the front one was about to be.

Took out joints marked Spicer 925, non-greasable, and put in joints marked Spicer 925, greasable.

Checked front and rear diffs and the transfer case as well. Plus sprayed the rear with rust encapsulator so everything back there is black again.

Has a couple spots of scratched off paint/powdercoat. Guy selling it owns the property, last tenant left it. One of those he took bottom dollar just to get rid of it. I asked ab it before he listed on craigslist as its on my way home i stopped one day.

Finally found out what was causing the awful creaking noises in the front suspension.
The place that did the alignment a couple of weeks ago apparently didn't bother to torque the LCA cam bolts... Three of the four bolts were only torqued to around 50 ft/lbs. Definitely nowhere near the required 125 ft/lbs. :favorites68:

I'm sure the alignment is probably messed up as a result of it, but I really don't feel like taking the KJ back to that shop again.

Do you only have one place that does alignments?
Last lift I did on mine went to a new place, after 3 trips back finally convinced the manager to look the other way, took me all of 15 minutes and drove perfect. Of course if I had been caught his a** would of been fired but one unhappy customer was worth it I guess .
Never went back again

There's one other place in town, but I've heard plenty of negative things about that one as well.

Last time I took the KJ to this place they did a great job, but this time...
Dropped it off, and when I went to pick it up the next day they told me that when they went to adjust the tie rods, they found one of the inner tie rods was slightly loose, so they couldn't do the alignment. Really, you couldn't pick up the phone and ask me if it was okay to spend two minutes on tightening the inner tie rod?

I fixed the inner tie rod, took it back in, and got the KJ back with a crooked steering wheel, a tie rod boot that was completely twisted around several times (no idea what they even did here), and this issues with the LCA bolts.
