Gut feeling? Antifreeze in the oil.

If you replace the PCV valve with the new larger PCV valve you will notice that the oil has less of a gasoline smell and also the milky stuff in the filler neck also goes away.

Also as discussed earlier about oil taking a longer time to warm up...
Think about that poor externally mounted oil filler neck & small PCV exposed at hwy speed -10c for short trips...
Never gets a proper chance to warm up. (but does get the chance to plug up!) lol..
The larger 2007 PCV is mounted at the drivers side rear, where it gets hot, the way it should be.
In winter the full synthetic oil will allow for better flow when cold.
It also has better cleaning properties than dino.
So in essence, those with the small pcv may want to consider upgrading to the TSB or trying full synthetics.

So long story short, my issues stem from a head gasket and possibly warped heads, my mechanic is working on it and I trust him. The good news is that the dealership is paying half the repair cost even though they don’t have too.

I’ll be upgrading to the larger PCV valve and all that when I get it back.

Again, thanks for all the help!

Blessings

Looks like that engine was overheated at some point in it's prior life - bummer :Insane:

Happy to hear the dealer is stepping up - that really shows their integrity. You'll have a fine running KJ when it's all done!

It does suck, but I'm excited to have a solid top end
