radiator swap

i know some swap the 02-03 radiator with the built in cooler to newer models and route the standalone cooler into it... my question is where is the best place...or any place..to get an 02-03 radiator? or should i just stick with if it aint broke dont fix it

I would wait till your current radiator kicks the bucket, then upgrade. If you tow close to the max tow capacity, then you should upgrade soon.

Yes.. but what is the best ****** cooler? Internal? External by itself? External paired with internal?

I have both the internal and external transmission coolers. I would have to say that the combo of the two is amazing because every since I made the change the transmission temp stays very constant around 120 and about 140 when towing and yes that is in Fahrenheit and is measured on the hot transmission wire BEFORE the transmission coolers. If it works for me it will work great for others. Also note that I typically tow near the 5000 pound tow capacity.

Both is best - but if only one I'd say the internal.

I don't have a gauge to tell me exact temps but going on the comments from the ****** shop that does the flushes they're impressed with the lack of wear and attribute it to the coolers. The security of the coolers in the summer or when towing is pretty obvious but another side benefit comes in the winter. When it is really cold, the ****** fluid gets up to temp faster since engine coolant is circulating around the ****** cooler. The first shifts aren't slow on cold startup anymore - the ****** acts like it's mid-summer.

The dual cooler is a great upgrade IMO :waytogo:
