What's on your check list?...What are you working On? What extra Gear Do You Carry??

I inspected tires, broke out the tire depth gauge and have decent depth at 11/32nds and needed to add some air.
Thinking I may want to have a pair of new "Winter" blades ready, just in case.
Used the Coolant tester, Hoat good to mega subzero -50c.
Bought some extra jugs of windshield washer fluid.
Gear =got a few extra flashlights & new thermal sleeping bag.

One thing is for sure, many Members here sure try to use their Jeeps In winter!

Let's see... check the tire pressures as the temps decrease. I always keep blankets and other stuff in the jeep regardless of season. Just never carry water due to the whole freezing and exploding thing unless I'm going way out. Took off the roof basket for easy snow removal. Full set of tools as always but i did add my brush/scraper. Oh and don't forget your tow points and straps. It will be over confident driver in a ditch fishing season soon enough!

Here in Arkansas, that mostly amounts to keeping the tank full.

Sota, wish I had a pic of my snow rig. Seldom use it, but I have a Kubota RTV950 and a neighbor gave me a blade for an inline ATV. I added extensions to each side of the blade, hooked it up to use the hydraulic bed pump and control the Kubota came with. Surprising how much snow it will move.

Bought a 5-Year alignment plan so I won't feel so bad when I hit the inevitable potholes.

Its not the pot holes that bother me, its when a plow doesn't clean the corner and you accidentally smack the damn thing slicing a tire wide open

Firestone shop has a lifetime alignment plan for $180. Here at least. I get them done every other oil change on all my vehicles. Well worth the bucks! They also have a lifetime rotation/balance plan. Forget how much that is, only have it in my daily drive. Mainly cause that's 90 miles a day, 5 days a week.

Look at it this way, if ya wasn't supporting us tire shops that way, we'd be on welfare and you'd STILL be supporting us.

Bob

I worked for Bridgestone for 4 years and sad to say I almost had to sign up for Welfare because they decided not really pay their employees anymore after a few bad marketing decisions.

Speaking about prep.
Anyone have any good suggestions to fully utilize the space under the rear seats?

So far, I've found only storing flexible items like clothing and blankets work best as they can compress when the seats are folded down.

Oh is that why they don't fold completely flat ? LOL...
Ya they fold but not as far as they could.
I have a thin piece of cardboard that I slide in on top of items first, before attempting to fold it down. I very rarely fold the seats though.
