Apparently my alignment is messed up on my '04 KJ. My tires inner shoulder is worn down pretty severely. I've got it scheduled to go in for an alignment this saturday but i do have a few questions:

I did hit a stump a while back, which would explain the camber being off. I hit it at low speed <5mph on the drivers side. so hopefully there's no major damage. How weak are the LCAs & Tie rods on the KJ? I'm hoping i don't need to spend $$$$ to fix this.

Well the cant be to weak bc they get alot offroad time....but i dont think the stump would of did it...Just look up under the jeep and see if anything is bent if not then it will just be w/e the cost of alignment is.

hopefully. I had an S-10 prior that couldn't stay aligned to save its life, one of the reasons why i bought the KJ.

I also bought 5 Rugged Trail T/As for it. (i dont intend on lifting it) so i'd like to get the issues resolved before i put those on.

alignment shop is going to mount/balance the new rubber for me.
Its got 215/70/16s on it now, I put the 235/70/16s on it. hopefully that'll make things a bit better as well.

The new should make it not pull anymore but if its pulling now it will keep pulling and WEAR the hell out of the new tires!!

I just got back from the alignment shop with the car in preparation for a 800 mile trip tomorrow. While they were wrenching, from above, they broke the V-8's PCV valve, so had to return to get that replaced, vacuum leaks make it runs like a bag of *&^$.
Anyways, when I get the KJ aligned, I like to have a look at it up on the lift, and bring the camera with me so I can review the pics later. Most alignment shops are pretty good about looking over the components, just make sure you also can get a good look at bushings and ball joints, swaybar links up front, and get a few photos...
