Up to $CDN 1.09 / L here today... Equivalent to $USD 4.12 / L or so.

Ouch.

Not as bad a comparison as it once was, given the equality of our dollars these days but filling the Jeep still hurts :(

Nice political view there but Ron has no chance of becoming president for at least 4 years now.

ron paul will become a president of his own town
please do not waste your votes by not voting just because he is not running

anyway, fuel prices suck, it is at 3.39 here, and that blows. At least it is still lower than it used to be. Bush likes his oil nice and greasy

I saw $3.29 today. Am I happy about it? No. I'm pissed. Can I do anything about it? No. Diesel is $4.19.

Big oil's collapse is coming sooner or later. I wouldn't worry about it, but I think the end of their heyday is near.... *very* near.

It's not big oil. it's big speculation. There is enough known oil reserves in the ground to last about 1000 years. We have more gasoline on reserve than any other time in history. The reasons oil is getting higher is 1) the US dollar is weak, so imported goods cost more; 2) Economic concerns & geo-political tensions have commodity buyers going nuts which is creating a bubble in just about everything. Oil, copper, silver, gold, zinc, you name it it's all way high right now... & that is where the collapse will come, in the commodity market.

Big oil takes only about 7% profit, that is actually pretty lousy. When you go to a retail store like Best Buy, Walmart, or even the local 5 & dime, they target 40% profit on sales... 7% profit for providing the most essential element to our prosperity is a bargain!

I wonder how much gas would be if the Government didn't take so much in taxes? here's a graph that shows how much of Exxon's "greedy" profit was taken by the "benevolent" US government. I hear so much about their $70 billion profit, but never hear about the governments $30 billion take of that profit!

I just paid $3.37 for premium non-oxygenated fuel.

Who is the winner? Who is the loser?

Hey, why don't we force the farmers to harvest corn instead, we will work on alternate fuel, let the breweries import wheat and barley, who cares.

Oh and global warming is the other scam. 20 years ago it was Ozone Layer being thinner, now it is the Global Warming..

i am sleepy, time to sleep

gobal warming and pollution and sheit isnt a scam. its reallt F'ed up the world. the whole gas mileage thing isnt as important as pollution. indiana has like 5.3 million people. we are the #1 polluter of freshwater in america. farm runoff from here alone has created 5 of the 9 mile dead zone in the gulf of mexico. air pollution isnt on my list anymore because everyones air quality ***** like a Dustbuster

The problem lies in China and India. They are both starting to use more fuel than we do. That and ofcourse the damn tree-huggers that won't alow for US drilling.
