Worn out shifter issue
Does anyone know if you can rebuild the shifter tower on a 5 speed manual transmission. I just purchased a 2002 jeep liberty sport 3.7L manual transmission and the gear shifter is worn out and just flops around loosely. It shift okay, you just have to make sure it doesn't hit the wrong gear when shifting if that makes any sense. I'm hoping that I can rebuild the shifter tower and not have to buy a new one. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
