Winch placement

i need to add a winch to my liberty, but i dont want to add a hude bumper, can i just fab up a bracket that would slide into my rear hitch and pull me backwards out of the hole???

is this possible?

They make a bracket for that
it is dangerous and I will not allow you to use it on a ride with me
besides if you are stuck do you want to try to put a 100#+ winch into you hitch?
remember that you can not ride with it in there ,going to rip it right off
on the first dip you go through
also ,back to the dangerous thing, the hitch is only rated at 5,000#
if you bend the hitch then you could bend your unibody
this would make opening and closing your rear door a thing of the past
you would be better served doing it right the first time
ARB is one of the 2 right ways to do it

The backbone system in this link is the best option I've seen when not replacing the bumper with the heavy ARB system. Nothing against the ARB bumper-- I like it. But it's big, heavy, and requires (some minor) cutting on the fender flares. This is the best option and minimally invasive.
