If you can find the nail and itis in the tread and not the sidewall you can pull it out and plug it and air it up yourself right on the spot. You can buy a tire plug kit or make one up yourself and don't forget to throw a pair of pliers in it and get a compressor. I have plugged a tire and aired it up without taking it off the vehicle before when the bead stayed intact so I didn't have to use the spare.
