By "decent", meaning: cost + function= value. I've just borrowed one off a friend and am kinda impressed. Gadget itself is unimpressive looking, but after reading the 40 page manual it looks like performs quite a comprehensive list of system tests. And will connect to a PC to give pretty detailed troubleshooting instructions. This one is made by innova. Instructions are very clear, detailing vehicle system operations and why they operate the way they do and how each interacts with another. So I'd like to get one, but don't want to end up with a POS!

You'll need a two way scanner which prices are way up there to do abs, SRS or ******.

Most of the cheap scanners are just readers only.

I use this Innova code reader! http://www.amazon.ca/INNOVA-3040-Diagnostic-Reader-Vehicles/dp/B004IME2ZK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1445886727&sr=8-4&keywords=innova+obd2+scanner

It works great and have a bunch of functions. It was at Canadian Tire on sale for $100.00.

That looks good. Been leaning towards that. The 3160 supposedly gives real time (engine running) data too. My jeep don't have ABS. Acura does but it doesn't seem to support Honda in that arena.
